To open the Mac you need a P5/PL4 Pentalobe screwdriver.

The motherboard number is on the top (easy to reach) side of the motherboard, on the lower edge in the middle, just above the trackpad connector, but in very small print.

The T2-ROM is a WSON-8 chip 3x4mm (32Mbit).

The ROM in on the bottom (hard to reach) side of the motherboard.
